A recent study suggests that radiation from cell phones may cause cancer; what, if any, cell phone usage precautions will you take in light of this information?

Heck of a way to introduce myself to the world! haha...
I'm a little bit skeptical of this. One of my best friends scoffs at suggestions of such things as the solely human origins of global warming, and I admit that I have a similar "grain of salt" approach when something as fear-mongering as this appears on conventional news media.
I mean, how do we know that Motorola didn't grease his palms bigtime because handsfree sales were lagging?
I might implement some of these suggestions anyway, but more out of money concerns and battery savings than anything else. Anybody who lets a kid use a cellphone regularly is probably going to see it show up in the toilet bowl at some point. And if you think you're going to convince Ye Olde Businessman to take his BB off his hip (or me, mine out of my pocket) at any near future point, yr dreamin'.
The question for me is, where does the 'living in a bubble' stop and the 'living LIFE' begin? Personally, I have much better things to spend my money on than a subpar wireless handset. I'll just do what I do now - use a landline wherever possible - and add a little conservation - maybe put it on airplane mode at night so that my alarm still goes off in the AM, but I'm not absorbing all kinds of yucky rays overnight. I'm also reducing my fire hazards (according to the dork who claimed that his trackball overheated... yeah okay there bud) and conserving battery power cuz I'm not getting 20 vibrates a night with auto-generated emails.
And as to the cancer risk - let's wait for some corroborating studies, shall we?
